The first kingdom was ruled by the natural, soulish man, Adam. Jesus Christ is our true David. He shall reign forever. This is the kingdom of God. By the work of the cross you have been translated out of the First into the Second.
It is the Spirit Who is speaking of the New Covenant when He writes,
“One king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all: Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be My people, and I will be their God. And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have One Shepherd: they shall also walk in My judgments, and observe My statutes, and do them.” EZ 37:22-24. Zechariah also speaks of the Church as the House of David in the Day of The Lord.
“The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul from spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no created one is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account” Heb. 4:12-13
This judgement separates two men. The first is at his core a soul, it was me and you. We were rejected from reigning. The Second is the spiritual man, it is Christ. Jesus said,
“many who are first will be last, and the last first.” Mt. 19:30, Mk. 10:31
These two men are also two houses.
Remember how the tabernacle had seven parts: the veil and the things outside speak of the first. The furniture outside the veil was five-fold. But the ark of the testimony within holy of holies testified of the second Man, the New Covenant, the kingdom of our true David, Christ Jesus.
First, the tent of meeting, (its coverings, including the veil) was made, (see Ex. 36:8-38).
Second, “Bezalel made the ark.” Ex. 37:1
This is a magnified a view of Him in His Body.
“THE FIRST tabernacle was prepared, in which was both the lampstand and the table, and the setting out of the loaves, which is called holy” Heb. 9:2.
“But behind THE SECOND veil is a tabernacle, that called Holy of Holies” Heb. 9:3 LITV
This is about God’s separating the outward form from the very Life and power of the Spirit. This same division is also between the tabernacle of Moses (durring the kingdom of Saul) and the tabernacle of David.
These two houses testify of two men.
“It is sown a soulish body, it is raised a spiritual body; there is a soulish body, and there is a spiritual body. So also it has been written, “The” first “man”, Adam, “became a living soul;” the last Adam a life-giving Spirit. Gen. 2:7 But not the spiritual first, but the soulish; afterward the spiritual. The first man was out of earth, earthy. The second Man was the Lord out of Heaven” 1 Cor. 15:44-47.
Seeing the order also clarifies some things concerning the meaning of the garments of the high priest on day of atonement.
All the first coverings in blue, and purple, and crimson, and white is in regard to the outward natural service.
The white garments declare how God doesn’t need the outward natural man. He has what He wants in the spirit of Christ.
The white garment is the ministry of the Spirit. No man. it is Christ alone: “there was none to help”.
“Be not far from Me; for trouble is near; because NO ONE IS THERE TO HELP.” Ps. 22:11
“Who is this coming (out) from Edom(=red Adam Esau) Isaiah 63:1
David writes “Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee” Ps 73:25
“I have trodden the winepress, I alone, and NO MAN of the peoples was with Me” (vs 3)
No man helps God only “the Spirit helps us in our weakness” Rom.8:26
“I look attentively, and there is NONE HELPING, And I am astonished that there is none supporting, And give salvation TO ME doth Mine own arm” Is 63:5 YLT
After atonement was made the High priest came out from the holy of holies, out of heaven, washed then he put on the garments of beauty and glory. Then he came into the camp. Lev. 16:24
This speaks of the Spirit of Christ putting on His Body, the Church.
“Lift up round about thine eyes and see, All of them have been gathered, They have come to thee. I live, sayeth YHWH! Surely all of them as an ornament thou puttest on, And thou bindest them on like a bride” Is. 49:18 YLT.
So as individual souls we all died and have been placed into Christ. He is now our Life, a completely new home. As it is written,
“God settles the solitary in a home;
he leads out the prisoners to prosperity” Ps. 68:6 and also
“Through faith we walk, not through sight– we have courage, and are well pleased rather to be away from the home of the body, and to be at home with the Lord.” 2 Cor. 5:7-8
He has saved us “out of” our soulish “dwelling places” in which we sin.Ez. 37:23. This is not fulfilled after physical death, it is now as we see that we died with Him in the cross.
What is that happened in His death and resurrection? The cross permanently removed the first king from the second.
Acts 13:22 “And removing him (Saul, the kingdom of the first man), He raised up to them David for a king, to whom He also said, witnessing, “I found David” the son of Jesse ” to be a man according to My own heart, who will do ALL My will.” See also 1 Sam. 13:14
The removal of the first king/man was about the work of the cross. So the garments of the first house were left torn.
“Behold , I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. ” Ps. 40:7, Heb. 10:7
The Adamic soul, my soul, says, “I must do do do.”
Hear the heart of the first King:
“I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering” 1 Sam. 13:12.
The soul that is a vessel of the Spirit, is in His rest. The soul in Christ simply says, “Done.”
See the heart of the second:
“I am mute; I do not open my mouth, for it is You who have done it.” Ps. 39:9 ESV
